I was recently asked why I became a life coach. Was it because I had a achieved a perfect life and could use this to assist others to achieve their perfect life?
Absolutely not!
My life has been very much like everyone else's. Full of joy and sorrow, love found, love lost, achieving goals, unfulfilled dreams and speed bumps, good times and bad .
There have been things in my life's journey that have made me want to crawl under a rock and never come out, but I always have. When I've been knocked down I've always got up again.
So when Fiona asked me at the start of our session why become a life coach? my immediate answer was because I had spent a lot of my life being afraid and this had at times led to me becoming immobilised. Afraid to move forward, afraid to go back, afraid to move on. afraid that I wasn't good enough, not worthy enough - a huge case of imposter syndrome
Not a good place to be in my experience and so now I work hard at living my life with gratitude and intention. Taking back my personal power and working to create a life that is meaningful to me. I don't want to just get through the day and I certainly don't want to settle!
Living intentionally does not just require a plan, it begins with awareness.
With Intent - coaching and mentoring is about that - about working with you to help you achieve a life that is meaningful for you. Walking beside you to help you discover what you truly want. Holding space with you so that you can pause long enough to ask am I just getting through the day or am I living the life I choose?.
